The dark days are nearly over!
Have you gotten out of the exercise habit over the winter months? Yeah, me too.
If you would like to get back into activity, here are some tips:
- Agree with your family when you can use precious time for yourself and PUT IT IN THE DIARY!
- Even if you do not feel like doing the planned workout, take the time anyway. Go for a walk, go for a drive, go to the gym and lay on a mat breathing, just have a sauna/steam. Just get into the habit of showing up for yourself
- Build up slowly and listen to your body.
- Do not work the same muscles day after day. Muscles need to work to fatigue and then rest for a day or two. It's during rest that the muscles repair and grow.
- Look at your sleep hygeine. No sleep = increased injury risk.
- Eat well with decent protein levels every day.
- Stay hydrated.
